Introduction
Many coaches have an area of expertise or passion. They often turn this into a teleclass series or a coaching program with step-by-step instructions for participants to follow in order to attain the desired end result. Coaches can extend the earning capacity of a proven program by selling licenses to other coaches and professionals. The license allows the purchaser to use the program with clients or groups of clients, and earn an income.

There are two basic types of licensing fees: a one-time fee for a lifetime license and a yearly renewable fee for an annual license. A lifetime license is usually more expensive upfront than a yearly license. Royalty fees may or may not be part of the licensing fee. A royalty fee of 10%, for example, means the licensee pays the licensor 10% of all gross or net revenue earned through the use of the licensed product or program.

Ebook creators often sell reprint rights and master reprint rights, which are a form of licensing. Reprint rights allow the purchaser to sell the ebook and keep all of the profits. Master reprint rights allow the purchaser to sell reprint rights to others, and keep all the profits. Usually a limited number of master reprint rights are made available and are more expensive than reprint rights.

David Steele: LifePartnerQuest / Relationship Coaching Institute

Hi! I'm David Steele, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who fell in love with coaching and its potential for helping singles and couples achieve their relationship goals. I developed a coaching program for singles- "Relationship Success Training For Singles," and another for couples "Partners In Life," combining concepts, tools and methods from the coaching profession with my own approaches to helping people with their relationship issues and goals.

I formed "LifePartnerQuest" (www.lifepartnerquest.com) to provide relationship coaching for singles and couples, and train and license coaches, therapists, and other helping professionals to use my coaching programs in their practice.

LifePartnerQuest will turn 5 years old this year. Currently, we have over 300 licensees worldwide, who have used our programs with thousands of singles and couples. Coaches become licensees as a benefit of joining Relationship Coaching Institute by paying a $495.00 enrollment fee, then $29.00 to $49.00 per month for training, licensing our programs and content, certification, marketing support, and practice development programs.

LifePartnerQuest provides marketing support for its licensees by listing their photos and profiles on our web site, featuring them in our newsletters for singles and couples, providing content for their web sites, e-programs, seminars, and other marketing tools. As our organization and revenues grow, we are able to provide increasing marketing support and continue to improve our programs. In addition, our size allows us to partner with complementary businesses that serve singles and couples, to further market our programs for our licensees.

I am so proud of what I have been able to build with LifePartnerQuest. I love to apply my energy and creativity for the benefit of our coaches and the clients in their practice. I believe we all have gifts and talents that we can package for the benefit of others. By creating a product you have taken your knowledge, experience and creativity, and created a legacy that can continue your work beyond your lifetime.
