Thanks, Thomas!
Hey Coach!
Coach Dave here.
In honor of International Coach Week 2014 we are initiating a “Thanks, Coach” campaign.
As I was thinking about all of the coaches I am going to send a note to, Thomas naturally came into my mind.
Then we got the idea of creating a place where anyone in the coaching world who wants to can leave a “Thanks, Coach” note for Thomas!
So here it is!
Please share a comment to this post with your note!
Life is a canvas. Coaching is art. Paint!
Coach Dave
Thank you for leading the way!
Martin
Thank you for picking me out of a crowd of 900 people in Las Vegas and for personally mentoring me. I cannot thank you enough for all that you did for me personally and for creating this profession that is doing so much to advance human evolution! You are very missed and your legacy lives on!
Well said coop. Great to see you here.
A big thanks to Thomas who introduced me to the concept of personal coaching so many years ago. Not only has this helped me in my life but also helped me to help others. His work goes on.
Well said Terry! Thanks so much for stopping by.
I have Thomas Leonard to thank for the lifecoaching highs and understandings I’ve experienced for more than a decade. At the time I first attended a course by Thomas in Sydney, I was already researching and writing a biography of Jiddu Krishnamurti as part of doctoral studies, and I had met a couple of other wise guides in India (including the Advaitist philosopher, Ramesh Balsekar). Thomas gave me the impetus to bring this broader knowledge to the practice of specific lifecoaching techniques which have proven useful to others.
Wow thats so cool Christine. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your inspiration. I found a few j Krishnamurti books in Thomas’ library. I kept them and have enjoyed them very much.
Dear Thomas,
Thank you for your brilliance, compassion, crazy & amazing ideas that blew my mind when I first heard them so many years ago and which now have taken root in the world. You would absolutely love how small and interconnected the world has become and I wish you were here to blaze new trails. Thank you for being a wonderful mentor and fantastic coach. It’s been said that leadership is all about vision and succession planning. You did both perfectly. Thank you for leaving Coachville in Dave’s most capable hands. No one could have done a better job at growing your legacy. I have often wondered how you knew he would be so great at this, but of course you saw his soul and that he was the leader for the next generation of coaches. I miss you every day. Warmest, Judy
Wow. Judy! Thank you so much. That means a lot. I miss him every day too.
Sadly I never got to meet or participate in live classes with Thomas though I have listened to many many hours of his coaching and conversations. He has been a profound influence on how I coach and I am forever grateful that he shared his genius with the world.
I also want to thank Dave Buck for carrying on this legacy in his own infectious, enthusiastic way and making his training programmes an absolute delight. No-one could have done it better. His laugh is like sun on a stormy day and is ever-present.
Thanks Coachville for standing out from the crowd……
Thanks Joan. That is sweet.
One of my goals upon meeting Thomas was that he Coach me. I got that wish just before he opened Coachville.
The Phoenix weekend that launched Coachville was incredible and I had the pleasure and honor of Thomas coaching me in about 3 minutes through an issue!
Because of Thomas I became one of the first 250 people to join Coachville, oh so long ago.
Thomas would be proud of what Dave and his “peeps” have done with Coachville and I love to imagine him sitting at God’s side and looking at how Coaching has grown and changed since his departure.
Dave you had big shoes to fill and he was so right in picking you to fill them.
Namaste
